Job Description
The Assistant Manager, Investor Reporting is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely reporting, reconciliation, and remittance of loan servicing activity to investors and agencies, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and private investors. This role will help lead the Investor Reporting team, resolve reporting issues, ensure compliance, and improve processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee investor reporting, reconciliations, and remittances for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and private investors.
- Reconcile custodial accounts and resolve discrepancies, exceptions, and reporting issues.
- Ensure compliance with investor requirements, agency guidelines, regulatory standards, and internal controls.
- Review and validate investor reporting data to ensure accuracy and data quality.
- Partner with Accounting, Servicing, Audit, Technology, and external investors to resolve issues.
- Lead, train, and provide guidance to Investor Reporting team members.
- Track KPIs, reporting deadlines, service levels, and potential risks.
- Prepare investor reporting metrics and operational updates for management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and stronger controls.
- Maintain and update investor reporting procedures based on regulatory, agency, and business changes.
Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in investor reporting, mortgage servicing, financial analysis, or a related financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and private investor reporting requirements.
- Experience with agency guidelines, servicing compliance, and internal controls.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and partner across multiple business functions.
- Leadership or team guidance experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
