The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative, customs, documentation, and customer service activities within the Container Freight Station (CFS). This role ensures compliance with U.S. Customs requirements, supports efficient cargo movement, maintains accurate shipment records, and provides leadership to office personnel while delivering exceptional service to customers, carriers, and warehouse operations.

How you create impact

  • Lead and coordinate daily CFS office operations to ensure efficient cargo processing and document management.

  • Process inbound and outbound shipments accurately and on time.

  • Enter and maintain carrier, driver, shipment, and cargo information in all required operational systems.

  • File all required customs documentation accurately and within established deadlines.

  • Submit preliminary claims within four (4) days of cargo arrival.

  • Process and submit MDRs (Manifest Discrepancy Reports) to Customs within thirty (30) days of cargo arrival.

  • Ensure all high-value shipments are processed according to customer SOPs and security requirements.

  • Verify required tablet processes are completed for designated customers.

  • Prioritize driver service and maintain driver wait times at no more than thirty (30) minutes after arrival whenever operationally possible.

  • Coordinate office workflow to ensure drivers receive priority service before secondary administrative tasks.

  • Support window operations and ensure efficient communication between drivers, warehouse personnel, and office staff.

What we would like you to bring

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in freight forwarding, warehouse administration, customs operations, or CFS operations.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and bonded warehouse procedures.

  • Experience managing shipment documentation, inventory control, and customer service functions.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and warehouse management systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Support customer satisfaction.

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
