Human Resources Specialist
The Biddeford, Dayton, and Saco School Departments, along with the Southern Maine Administrative Collaborative, are seeking a Human Resources Specialistto join our HR team.
This year-round position reports to the Director of Human Resources and supports a broad range of HR functions, including onboarding, personnel records, employee benefits, leave administration, and HR compliance. The HR team will work collaboratively, with each team member having primary areas of responsibility while providing cross-training and backup support to one another.
Essential Functions
The ideal candidate will have experience with:

Onboarding and offboarding

Personnel records and employment documentation
-
Employee benefits and open enrollment
-
FMLA, Maine PFML, and ADA accommodations

Workers' Compensation
-
Employee licensure and certification tracking
-
HR compliance and employee support
-
Maintaining confidentiality and strong organizational skills

Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor's degree [or equivalent experience] preferred

SHRM or PHR certification preferred

Minimum of five (5) years of human resource-related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience desirable

Current State of Maine Criminal History Records Check approval or ability to obtain
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards

Works in a standard office environment

Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000
