What's the role?
As a Senior Account Manager in Core Terminal Sales team, based in New York, you’ll cover leading financial markets institutions leveraging the product at the center of our business, the Bloomberg Terminal. You’ll develop a deep understanding of your clients’ workflows, technology, and data landscape, and use that context to deliver solutions that stick. You’ll build senior relationships that strengthen long-term partnerships and ensure Bloomberg remains embedded in how clients work.
You’ll be responsible for protecting and expanding existing client partnerships by defending renewals and competitive situations, while also building a healthy pipeline through disciplined lead sourcing. You will partner closely with Relationship Managers, Product Specialists, and Specialist Sales teams to execute account strategies and contribute to the broader success of our clients, team, and business.
We’ll trust you to:

Develop deep, trusted relationships across your client base, from end users through desk heads and senior decision makers, to understand priorities, demonstrate Bloomberg’s value and protect existing revenue

Build a strong understanding of your clients’ roles, workflows and business needs, using thoughtful questioning to identify gaps and position relevant Bloomberg functionality and solutions that deepen product adoption

Take a strategic view across your account coverage to identify opportunities to expand Bloomberg’s footprint across Terminal, Enterprise products and data solutions

Partner closely with Relationship Managers, product specialists and Enterprise teams to qualify opportunities, develop account strategies and progress revenue opportunities with key stakeholders and decision makers

Develop deep expertise in Bloomberg’s solutions, financial markets and client segments, applying that knowledge to help clients optimize their workflows and identify opportunities where Bloomberg can provide additional value

Proactively identify risks and opportunities across your accounts, including competitive threats, underutilized solutions and client needs that could inform product enhancements or create new commercial opportunities

Contribute beyond your day-to-day account responsibilities by sharing successful strategies and best practices, supporting broader sales and departmental initiatives, mentoring colleagues, leading campaigns and contributing to product development
You’ll need to have:

Experience in Account Management or a Sales-related role, supporting financial services clients
-
Proven consultative sales skills, including competitive market research, lead generation, prospecting, business development and closing sales

Experience in building and maintaining client relationships both externally and internally
-
Strong presentation and communication skills
-
Experience in one or more of the following asset classes: Fixed Income, Equities, FX, Futures, and other Derivatives

The ability for regular travel

Salary Range = 90,000 - 130,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
