Naval Station Everett, WA

Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

6-Week Project Starting October 5th

Opportunity for Long-Term Shipyard Work

Support U.S. Navy vessel maintenance and preservation while gaining valuable shipyard experience. This is a great opportunity for candidates with construction, painting, manufacturing, or general labor backgrounds.

Job Duties

• Prepare metal surfaces using grinders, needle guns, wire wheels, and hand tools

• Remove rust, old paint, and corrosion from ship surfaces

• Assist marine painters with masking, taping, and paint preparation

• Perform brush and roller painting

• Move tools, equipment, and materials throughout the shipyard

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Follow all shipyard and Navy safety requirements

Requirements

• Experience using hand and power tools

• Previous painting, construction, or general labor experience preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Ability to wear a respirator and PPE

• Reliable transportation and strong attendance

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
