Description
Job Summary
The Manager of Business Development – Precast Concrete plays a key role in expanding Fabcon’s presence across multiple market segments including manufacturing, warehouse, retail, commercial, and institutional sectors. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this position focuses on identifying and securing new opportunities, developing long-term customer relationships, and collaborating across departments to drive strategic initiatives. The role requires a proactive and technically competent professional who can align client needs with Fabcon’s precast concrete solutions.
Objectives and Key Outcomes
Market Engagement and Opportunity Identification

Collaborate with the Director of Business Development to implement a go-to-market strategy aligned with Fabcon’s commercial goals in precast concrete products.

Conduct market research to identify and pursue new opportunities across target segments such as industrial, retail, logistics, and commercial construction.

Cultivate relationships with general contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and consultants to build a strong regional and national network.
Client Relationship Management

Serve as the primary liaison for assigned clients, ensuring clear communication, responsiveness, and long-term satisfaction.

Grow existing accounts while identifying new opportunities for repeat business and strategic partnerships.

Work cross-functionally to tailor solutions that address client needs and support their project objectives.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support

Partner with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, estimating, and project management, to ensure high-quality proposals and service delivery.

Contribute to RFP responses, presentations, and client-facing documentation.

Align business development efforts with broader strategic goals and internal processes.
Market Analysis and Reporting

Monitor market trends, regional construction activity, and competitive positioning in precast products.

Represent Fabcon at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to enhance visibility and influence.

Provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline development, customer engagement, and market insights.

Required KSA and Qualifications:

5+ years of business development experience in the construction, manufacturing, or building materials industries.

Strong understanding of the commercial and industrial construction market, including customer dynamics and project delivery methods.

Extensive network of contacts in the construction ecosystem: general contractors, developers, engineers, and consultants.

Proven track record of sales success and relationship building with decision-makers and influencers.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Working Conditions:
-
This position requires extensive travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
-
This position requires knowledge of industrial and manufacturing environments. Personal Protective Equipment is required to be worn in designated areas in plant and construction sites.
