Summary

About the Position: The Training Coordinator position is located at Evans Army Community Hospital, duty location Fort Carson, Colorado. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive MAY be authorized. Salary negotiation MAY be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience MAY be creditable for leave purposes. Student Loan repayment MAY be authorized

Duties

  • Develops, maintains, and presents Unit Status Report (USR).
  • Provides input to supervisor on work performance of team member.
  • Provides guidance and assistance in all areas of Medical Readiness.
  • Develop reporting strategies to report Post Deployment/Redeployment directives.
  • Tailors and presents detailed medical readiness briefings and presentations.
  • Maintains knowledge as the medical readiness software and programs.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates experience with developing, maintaining and presenting various reports; providing training and guidance to medical readiness staff; and knowledge of various software systems and programs. OR Education: Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Education, Business Management, or a related degree. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: specialized experience as described above, but less than one year; and I have at least one year of graduate education as described above, but less than the required two years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. In making this determination, the agency may consider your performance and conduct; agency needs and interests; whether your continued employment supports organizational or Government goals; and whether it promotes the efficiency of the Federal service. Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Recruitment or relocation incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest. Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
