Full job description

Position Summary

The Head of Global Marketing Communications is responsible for transforming business, market and product strategies developed elsewhere in the organization into compelling, coordinated global MarCom programs that increase awareness, strengthen industry influence and establish the company as the leader in its chosen categories.

This role owns the strategy-to-market execution layer. The Head of Global Marketing Communications converts business priorities into integrated campaigns, content, thought leadership, public relations, digital programs, events, promotions and customer-facing deliverables for priority business segments.

The successful candidate will combine sound business judgement with disciplined execution. They will synthesize complex strategic direction, identify the audiences and narratives that matter, mobilize global and regional resources, and ensure that every program advances a clear market outcome.

The role serves as the bridge between strategic intent and external market impact, ensuring the company communicates with consistency, credibility, and authority worldwide.

Primary ResponsibilitiesStrategy Translation & MarCom Planning

  • Convert corporate, business unit, product and go-to-market strategies into integrated global marketing communications plans.

  • Define target audiences, communication objectives, market narratives, program architectures, channel mixes, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and success measures.

  • Create annual and quarterly MarCom plans supporting strategic growth initiatives, priority business segments, new market entry and product launches.

  • Use strong business judgement to prioritize investments and focus resources on the programs most likely to create market impact.

Industry Influence & Category Ownership

  • Own programs that influence industry dialogue and establish the company as a recognized authority in strategic power-conversion categories.

  • Develop narratives and platforms that shape how customers, partners, analysts, media and industry stakeholders understand market challenges and the company’s role in solving them.

  • Build category ownership through sustained thought leadership, executive visibility, technical storytelling, industry participation and third-party validation.

  • Increase share of voice and ensure the company helps define the conversation rather than merely responding to it.

Leadership, Operations & Measurement

  • Lead a global network of employees, regional marketers, agencies, contractors, and creative specialists.

  • Manage budgets, vendors, resource allocation and operating processes with accountability and financial discipline.

  • Establish KPIs for awareness, engagement, share of voice, thought leadership, campaign performance, category association and business contribution.

  • Provide clear executive reporting, recommendations, and program optimization based on performance data.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing communications, corporate marketing or technology marketing experience, including senior leadership responsibility.

  • Experience in semiconductors, power electronics, industrial technology, energy infrastructure, automotive electronics, data-center power or related technology sector.

  • Proven ability to translate business and product strategy into coordinated global programs, campaigns, and deliverables.

  • Demonstrated success leading global, cross-functional initiatives and managing teams, agencies and substantial budgets.

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
