Basic Job Description: A Hotel Housekeeper performs a variety of cleaning and organizational duties to ensure rooms and common areas are properly maintained. Responsibilities include making beds, replacing linens, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and restocking amenities such as towels and toiletries. Housekeepers also report maintenance issues, lost and found items, and any safety concerns to management. This position requires attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Housekeepers must follow safety and sanitation guidelines and often work in a fast-paced environment with daily room quotas. Typical Responsibilities: - Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards - Change bed linens and towels - Replenish guest supplies (soap, shampoo, etc.) - Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors - Clean bathrooms and sanitize surfaces - Empty trash and dispose of waste properly - Report maintenance issues or damages - Respond to guest requests when needed Basic Requirements: - Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods - Strong attention to detail - Reliable and punctual - Good communication skills - Prior cleaning or housekeeping experience is helpful but not always required
