But you'll also work directly with clients, guide project teams, mentor younger engineers, and have a voice in how we approach our work.For the right person, this role can be more than the next step on an organizational chart.It can be an opportunity to build your reputation, expand your leadership experience, and help shape a growing transportation practice.What You'll Work OnOur transportation work ranges from local roadway improvements to major state and federally funded infrastructure projects.You'll help lead projects from early planning through final design and construction support, including: * Highway and roadway design * NYSDOT and Federal Aid projects * Design reports and technical documentation * Construction plans, specifications, estimates, and bid documents * Multidisciplinary project coordination * Technical reviews and quality oversight * Client and agency coordination * Construction-phase engineering supportThe projects will vary.What won't change is the expectation that you'll have meaningful ownership of the work.Your Impact Won't Stop at Project DeliveryWe're looking for someone who wants to contribute beyond completing the next set of plans.Your experience can help us make better technical decisions, strengthen client relationships, develop younger engineers, and improve how we deliver projects.You'll have opportunities to:Lead. Take on increasingly complex projects and responsibilities as your interests and career goals evolve.What We're Looking ForQualifications include: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline * Eight or more years of transportation engineering experience * Experience delivering NYSDOT and Federal Aid transportation projects * Strong roadway and highway design experience * Experience preparing and reviewing design reports, plans, specifications, estimates, and bid documents * Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to lead project teams and develop productive client relationships * New York Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain one shortly after joining C&SWhy C&S?There are plenty of places where an experienced transportation engineer can work on good projects.We believe the difference is what you're able to build around those proj
