Payroll Specialist

Job Title: Payroll - Garnishment Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll

• Review employee hours, earnings, deductions, and payroll changes for accuracy

• Set up and process wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other court-ordered deductions

• Monitor garnishment payments and maintain supporting documentation

• Process new hires, terminations, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll adjustments

• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions

• Reconcile payroll reports and payroll-related general ledger accounts

• Assist with payroll taxes, benefits deductions, and year-end payroll activities

• Maintain accurate employee payroll records

• Support month-end close and additional payroll projects as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll experience preferred

• Experience processing garnishments and other payroll deductions

• Knowledge of payroll processes and basic federal and state payroll requirements

• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, UKG, Paycom, or similar

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewisville, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
