Duties Description The selected candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Park Manager 1, SG-18, or their designee in the park office. Duties shall include, but are not limited to: • Coordinating administrative functions of the camp office.• Assisting with camper registration and fee collection procedures. • Performing routine office tasks including answering phones and responding to low-level patron inquiries.• Supervising a small crew of seasonal staff, as needed.• Assisting the Park Manager with the training and scheduling of campground staff; preparing bank deposits; entering daily attendance and revenue figures; issuing permits for special use, commercial activities, firewood and hunting; and coordinating pavilion rental operations. • Processing credit card receipts and entering charges into the Budgeting Expenditure Tracking System and Statewide Financial System programs. • Entering seasonal timecards and tracking hourly projections. • During the off season, the incumbent will perform various office and maintenance tasks: o Assist with tree and brush clean-up. o Shovel and plow snow. o Utilize hand and power tools. o Assist higher-level staff with basic trades projects. o Operate light and medium-duty vehicles.

Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS: • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.• Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.• Must have basic computer knowledge of the internet and Microsoft 365 Office programs including Word, Outlook, and Excel.• Must have the ability to perform medium to heavy physical labor and lift up to 50 pounds. • Must have the ability to work in all weather conditions.• Must have the ability to sit, stand, bend, and squat for various periods of time.• Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays especially during the peak operating season between April and October.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:• Experience in accounting and revenue tracking BENEFITS:This position has the option to join the NYS Employee’s Retirement System and is eligible for health insurance, dental and vision coverage.
