Web Product Manager

Position Summary The primary focus for the Product Manager position is to achieve or exceed revenue and profitability objectives for the assigned product or category. The position is a mixture of downstream and upstream marketing with balanced focus on new product development and initiatives centered on marketing & sales strategies and execution. This role can be located at one of the following STERIS locations: Mentor, OH or Vernon Hills, IL. Additionally, this role will require domestic travel estimated to be 40% along with some international travel expected. What You Will Do as Product Manager Creates global marketing strategies and tactics with insight from Manager for the designated product line consistent with the business unit strategies and objectives and in support of achieving established revenue, margin, and market share goals and driving leadership positions in the market. Utilizes detailed analysis techniques regarding market trends, segment sizes, growth opportunities, competitive landscape, feasibility, profitability, product/ positioning, Voice of the Customer, Customer insights, market environment, and other critical areas. Leads the creation and development of product position. Delivers product to market through strategic marketing, communications, promotions, training, and other effective methods in support of achieving the value proposition and future brand/product growth and sustainability. The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed Required - Bachelors degree required - 5 years of experience in Product Management /Marketing required - Experience managing products from concept through lifecycle management including product trials, launches, and commercial initiatives - Experience managing broad product portfolios Preferred - MBA preferred - Medical device experience preferred but not required - Experience in regulated industries helpful - International business and marketing experience preferred Skills - Strong project management skills - Ability to navigate and influence cross-functional stakeholders - Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision - Resourceful, persistent, and results-oriented - High energy, enthusiasm, and positive attitude - Comfortable driving decisions and moving projects forward - Strong relationship-building skills - Collaborative team player with sense of urgency - Thrives in a high-trust, fast-paced environment - Able to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution - Demonstrated effective strategy implementation, planning, organizational, and project management skills - Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications - Ability to effectively apply business acumen, including financial, market and industry trends, and market analytics - Demonstrated initiative What STERIS Offers We value our employees and are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package that supports your health, well-being and financial future.
