Job Description

Analyze operational requirements and develop technical solutions to support cyber defense, network security, and enterprise monitoring capabilities. Evaluate commercial and government technologies and assess their suitability for integration into existing and future cyber mission environments. Support the transition of new hardware and software capabilities from concept through implementation within operational environments. Develop solution architectures that incorporate server infrastructure, network engineering, firewall technologies, gateways, and cybersecurity tools. Create and maintain technical baselines, architecture artifacts, implementation strategies, and modernization roadmaps. Work closely with program managers, systems engineers, cybersecurity teams, logistics personnel, and operational stakeholders to develop and execute technical solutions. Assess multiple technical approaches and provide recommendations based on cost, schedule, performance, and operational requirements. Support acquisition and sustainment activities throughout the system lifecycle, ensuring alignment with DoD and Air Force processes. Provide rapid-response engineering support for emerging mission needs and evolving cyber requirements. Develop briefings, technical reports, implementation plans, cost estimates, and decision support documentation for government leadership.

Skills and Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance. Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience supporting ACAT III or larger DoD acquisition programs. Experience supporting programs throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle. Strong understanding of systems engineering, server administration, network infrastructure, firewall technologies, and cybersecurity architectures. Experience evaluating and integrating commercial and government off-the-shelf technologies. Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and regulatory frameworks supporting system development and sustainment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Master's degree in a related technical field. Prior experience serving as a technical lead, architect, or subject matter expert on complex cyber or enterprise technology programs. Familiarity with Air Force cyber mission systems, cyber weapon systems, or enterprise-level information protection and monitoring platforms. Experience supporting technologies and platforms such as: Fidelis SolarWinds F5 Enterprise monitoring and data loss prevention solutions Experience developing technical trade studies, alternative solution analyses, and modernization strategies. Ability to quickly assess complex technical problems and develop actionable recommendations in fast-paced operational environments.
