Platform Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Lead AI Platform Enablement Engineer to support Parker Hannifin's rapidly growing AI initiatives. This individual will act as the liaison between the AI application development teams and the infrastructure/platform teams, helping enable AI solutions across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will come from a Platform Engineering or DevOps background and will spend the majority of their time working hands-on with development teams to help onboard, configure, and operationalize AI solutions. They will not be responsible for building AI models or creating AI agents from scratch, but rather enabling development teams to successfully leverage approved AI technologies and platforms. Responsibilities include supporting Azure OpenAI integrations, building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code templates, assisting with AI platform onboarding, supporting deployment pipelines, helping development teams navigate infrastructure requirements, and establishing repeatable implementation patterns. This role serves as the bridge between infrastructure and AI development teams, ensuring AI solutions can be deployed securely, efficiently, and at enterprise scale.

This role is roughly 135-1150K.

Skills and Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, or Solution Architecture
• Strong Azure cloud experience
• Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience (Bicep preferred, Terraform acceptable)
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience working with Azure OpenAI and enterprise AI platforms
• Strong understanding of APIs, authentication, integrations, and secure application delivery
• Experience partnering with both infrastructure and application development teams
• Understanding of GenAI concepts including RAG, prompt engineering, AI agents, embeddings, and vector search
• Experience creating technical standards, documentation, and reusable implementation patterns
• Azure AI certifications (AI-102, AZ-305, AZ-204)
• Azure AI Foundry experience
• GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps
• LangChain, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel exposure
• AI governance and responsible AI experience
• Kubernetes and containerized applications
• Manufacturing industry experience
