Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.
We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.
About the role We're hiring a Director of Product Marketing to own positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for Rippling's Platform, including Rippling AI, our developer offering, and the infrastructure that connects HR, IT, Finance, and Spend into a single system of record.
This role is responsible for turning Rippling’s product breadth and AI offering into a clear story; why a unified employee graph and platform matter, why AI built on top of connected workforce data is fundamentally different from point-solution or general-purpose AI, and why developers and technical buyers should build on Rippling.
This is a leadership role for someone who can move between strategy and execution, setting the narrative for how Rippling talks about its platform and AI capabilities, then translating that narrative into sharp positioning, credible proof points, field-ready enablement and a cohesive distribution strategy.
What you will do
- Own the positioning for the Rippling platform. Develop and continuously sharpen the core value proposition for Rippling's platform (including data and AI offerings).
- Sharpen the differentiating AI narrative. Build, maintain and deploy value propositions & reasons to believe that help the market understand why Rippling's approach is differentiated.
- Lead launch strategy end-to-end. Own launch briefs, messaging, and go-to-market plans for major product releases, partnering with Product, Sales, Enablement, Demand Gen, and Content to land each launch with a coherent story and creative distribution.
- Build field-ready enablement. Create the talk tracks, competitive battlecards, demo narratives, and proof points that help customer facing teams.
- Partner deeply with Product. Sit close to Product and Engineering leadership to understand/influence the roadmap and bring products from development to launch.
- Develop and manage a high-performing product marketing team. Hire, coach, and grow the PMM org, and build the operating cadence and holding high standards.
- Measure what's working. Define and track leading and lagging indicators for messaging and launch effectiveness.
What you will need
- 8+ years of B2B product marketing experience, with direct experience marketing platform, data, or AI products
- A track record of building clear narratives for technical or platform products, and translating them into messaging that resonates with both technical and business buyers
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing product marketing teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Deep comfort partnering with Product and Engineering leadership
- Experience building and scaling field enablement across talk tracks, competitive positioning, and objection handling
- Excellent written communication skills and an obsession with precision and clarity.
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and the ability to thrive in ambiguity
