Pay Rate: $41.00 - $54.00

Job Description:

We are seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to support our Wire Shops, Systems, and Test Labs in Seattle, Washington. A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. We need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity. Manufacturing Engineers are owners of the build plan and ensure compliance with design configuration, build plan, and process requirements. Manufacturing Engineering performs Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis and develops an integrated build plan consisting of work instructions for assembly/fabrication, kitting, tooling, inspection requirements, and other outputs to ensure fabrication meets design, test, and program requirements.

Responsibilities :

  • Participates in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines

  • Identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for building

  • Conducts producibility to ensure that the manufacturing process capability matches requirements

  • Provide producibility information for inclusion in project plans and help document producibility best practices

  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions

  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost, or schedule

  • Create manufacturing plans

  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems

  • Implements lean principles and technologies

  • Collaborate with Supplier Management to establish Lab test integration requirements and opportunities

Basic Hiring Criteria :

  • Regular and predictable attendance is required

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree required from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry is required

  • Knowledge of electrical/mechanical manufacturing processes and assembly sequencing

  • Prior experience working on the customer's Manufacturing System

Desired Qualifications :

  • 3 + years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment

  • 3 + years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams

  • 3 + years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role

  • Experience with space or military electronics

  • Experience with using manufacturing tools (PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, GOLDesp)
