Job Description

A Pharmaceutical Company based in San Diego, CA is seeking 3 desktop support engineers to join their team. This candidate will serve as a key contributor to the organization's endpoint support and engineering initiatives, providing advanced troubleshooting for Windows and Apple devices while driving improvements across device management, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise with Microsoft Intune, endpoint configuration, patching, networking, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Responsibilities include supporting physical devices, managing desktop policies, optimizing endpoint performance, evaluating hardware standards and costs, and helping shape strategic recommendations around device lifecycle management, standardization, and overall endpoint modernization efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys blending operational support with engineering and analytical responsibilities.

Skills and Requirements

4+ years of Desktop Support / Endpoint Support experience

Strong Tier 2 technical support experience

Hands-on troubleshooting of Windows and Apple devices Experience with Microsoft Intune administration and device management

Endpoint management expertise

Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Strong networking and hardware troubleshooting skills

Desktop engineering experience including device configuration and policy management

Experience managing physical endpoint devices throughout their lifecycle

Ability to analyze hardware performance, patching, optimization, and battery life Experience conducting hardware cost-comparison analyses (Dell and other manufacturers)

Experience with cloud storage optimization and endpoint sizing strategies
