Operates the small and large blasters to clean and finish parts and dies.

Job Summary
-
Loads objects into blasters by hand, cart, or forklift.
-
Operates the small sandblaster.
-
Operates the large sandblaster.
-
Examines objects to ensure conformance to work order or standard.
-
Disposes of dirty sand in waste bin.
-
Sweeps and cleans up sand residue daily.
-
Refills blasters with sand as necessary.
-
Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Ability to operate a forklift.

Read and understand internal procedures and policies.

Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions.

Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.

Basic Computer Skills: Able to learn new screens, reports, functions and simple software programs with training
Required Experience and Education

High School Diploma; up to 3 years related experience in job function and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience
