Job Description A well-established insurance and risk management organization is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its growing analytics team in the Boston area. This role is ideal for a data professional who enjoys partnering with business stakeholders, uncovering insights, and translating complex data into actionable recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
Working in a highly collaborative environment, the Senior Analyst will develop reporting solutions, dashboards, and analytical models while helping business teams leverage data more effectively. Success in this position requires a combination of strong technical expertise, business acumen, and excellent communication skills.
Location: Boston, MA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3-5 days per week in office
Compensation: Up to $160,000 base salary Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field

Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis

Advanced experience with Power BI, including dashboard development and data visualization

Experience working with Snowflake data platforms

Strong knowledge of relational databases and reporting tools

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytical findings to non-technical audiences

Strong project management and organizational skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple business teams

High attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy
Desired Skills & Experience

Insurance industry experience strongly preferred

Healthcare insurance or medical professional liability experience is a plus

Experience with advanced analytics, statistics, or predictive modeling

Exposure to data governance and data quality initiatives

Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams

Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, SAS, or Excel
What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate requirements into data-driven solutions

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports used across the organization
-
Utilize SQL and Snowflake to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets
-
Identify trends, opportunities, and risks through data analysis and reporting
-
Collaborate with business, analytics, and IT teams to define key metrics and reporting standards
-
Improve data quality, integrity, and governance processes
-
Support data modeling and advanced analytics initiatives
-
Create visualizations that effectively communicate insights to executive and operational teams
-
Train and support business users on reporting tools, data definitions, and best practices

Present recommendations that drive business performance and decision-making
