------------------- ----------------- Location: Freedom, PA Job ID: 4020 Position type Hybrid Telework ------------------- ----------------- ### POSITION SUMMARY Lead and perform advanced software development to enable the Digital Solutions platform to perform use cases across AI, Analytics, autonomous inspections of infrastructure facilities. Provide technical leadership in the development and implementation of digital methodologies across division portfolio. We are seeking a full stack developer that can oversee full software development lifecycle. ### ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Design, develop, and implement software platform features across the entire development stack. 2. Participate in all phases of the software lifecycle from discovery to performance maintenance. 3. Develop real time and post processed text, image and video streaming modules. 4. Collaborate with the AI, Power Systems and Computer Vision Engineers to incorporate machine learning models and analytics into the product. 5. Identify and diagnose production software defects. Identify, develop, and implement software defect solutions. 6. Provide technical estimates for user stories, articulating technical risks and assumptions. 7. Participate in application and database performance tuning and defect resolution. 8. Provide mentoring and code reviews of other developers. 9. Has a deep understanding of CICD processes and can work with our global software teams to integrate and deploy solutions here in Americas. 10. Collaborate with team members to ensure a consistent focus on producing quality deliverables in a timely manner. 11. Further the goals and a positive image of the Power-I Department by conducting business with other MEPPI departments, customers, and suppliers in a timely and cooperative manner. ### QUALIFICATIONS 1. Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related technical degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience with advanced software development, or equivalent education and experience. 2. Advanced knowledge of modern software development tools used for autonomous monitoring applications. 3. Advanced knowledge of video stream principles, media packaging, and encoding technologies. 4. Advanced knowledge of internet technologies and services, basic network components, and internet protocols and configurations. 5. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. 6. Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers, employees, and suppliers. 7. Ability to work in a team environment and on several projects simultaneously. 8. Ability to work in multicultural environments with an emphasis on Japanese culture.
