Responsibilities

Under the guidance of VP Quality and Value Based care, responsible for development, implementation, integration and coordination of Performance Improvement and Patient Safety along with Risk Management activities in the assigned region of Prime Healthcare Services. Will have regional oversight of Performance Improvement and Risk Management programs and will assumes a leadership role in accreditation and licensure activities. Work collaboratively with Administration and Leadership at the facility level. Ensures execution and communication of Performance Improvement, Patient Safety and Risk Management activities occurs from the department level to Board of Directors. Ensures that all employees, including medical staff and members of the Governing Board articulate the Performance Improvement plan and activities. Ensures that the organizational goals and activities support optimal patient outcomes. The Regional Director of Performance Improvement will serve as an expert resource within the assigned region of Prime Healthcare Services as related to clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, regulatory and performance improvement issues, and activities related to accreditation.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of current experience in hospital management, inclusive of a leadership role in performance improvement and risk management.

  • Certification in Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Healthcare Accreditation (CSHA) highly desirable

  • Excellent in communication and management skills.

  • Proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Database.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Health-related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Active License in related healthcare field preferred.
