Description We are looking for an HR Generalist to support a manufacturing operation in Lincolnton, North Carolina by driving key people programs across recruiting, employee support, compliance, and day-to-day HR administration. This role will work closely with plant leadership to strengthen workforce stability, improve the employee experience, and help maintain a safe, well-organized workplace. The ideal candidate brings a practical HR approach, strong follow-through, and the ability to balance employee needs with business priorities.
Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end recruitment for hourly production teams, skilled trades, office staff, sales positions, and supervisory or management roles.

Create targeted staffing plans to meet changing workforce demands, including periods of increased hiring volume or seasonal ramp-ups.

Establish and maintain partnerships with trade schools, staffing partners, and regional workforce organizations to expand candidate pipelines.

Coordinate onboarding activities and site-specific orientation programs so new employees are prepared to succeed from their first day.

Respond to employee concerns, support issue resolution, and guide managers through consistent disciplinary and corrective action practices.

Organize training efforts such as safety instruction, cross-functional learning, certification tracking, and leadership development initiatives.

Maintain accurate employee records, oversee HR data integrity, and help ensure adherence to labor laws and workplace regulations.

Support benefits administration, leave coordination, workers’ compensation case handling, payroll processing, and follow-up on payroll-related questions with finance.

Lead performance review administration, assist with development plans, and use workforce metrics such as turnover, attendance, hiring timelines, and safety patterns to recommend improvements.

Partner with operations and leadership to reinforce policies, strengthen engagement, and foster a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. Requirements • Experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR role, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume operational environments.

Working knowledge of employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll support, and HR records management.

Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment law requirements and the ability to apply HR policies consistently.

Ability to manage multiple priorities across recruiting, compliance, employee support, and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.

Proficiency with HRIS platforms and standard business software used for reporting, documentation, and employee data tracking.

Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and leadership teams.

Experience supporting workers’ compensation, leave administration, training coordination, or safety-related HR processes is preferred.
