Job Description
The Architectural Business Partner serves as the primary liaison between the Division and Architecture teams throughout the lifecycle of residential community development projects. This individual will partner closely with Division leadership, architects, engineers, consultants, and construction teams to ensure architectural plans are delivered on schedule, aligned with local market demands, and support successful community launches. The ideal candidate combines strong project management and communication skills with a solid understanding of residential architecture, construction practices, and local permitting requirements. This person will act as a trusted advisor to the Division while coordinating multiple stakeholders and driving architectural projects from planning through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact between the Division and architectural teams.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to keep projects on schedule.
- Manage multiple residential projects and ensure adherence to architectural standards, local codes, and permitting requirements.
- Provide architectural guidance based on local market trends and buyer preferences.
- Support field teams through site visits, design revisions, and issue resolution.
- Maintain strong communication with Division leadership regarding project status, timelines, and risks.
- No supervisory responsibilities
Skills and Requirements
- 3-5+ years of project management experience within residential architecture or homebuilding.
- Strong knowledge of local residential building codes, permitting, and construction methods.
- Experience working directly with builders, architects, and engineers.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
- Ability to travel locally.
- Registered Architect or pursuing licensure.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
- Experience with production/high-volume homebuilders.
- Bluebeam, AutoCAD, M-Files, or Deltek experience.
