What You Will Do:

Participate in investigations involving complex chemical and metallurgical problems, using established as well as innovative techniques.

Perform microstructural analyses related to the evaluation of aerospace materials for compliance to standards.

Familiar with current Scanning Electron Microscopy/Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS) techniques including sample preparation, microscope operation, and image
-
data collection and analysis.
-
Perform SEM/EDS investigation on both non-metallic and metallic samples for failure analysis, general sample characterization, and material identification.

Possess a strong work ethic; the ability to work independently, and prioritize work flow, is critical.

Provide clear, concise, and accurate lab reports.

Interact effectively with customers at all levels.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.

The candidate must have a working knowledge of various types of analytical test equipment, as well as an understanding of general manufacturing processes.

A willingness to put the customer first is crucial, as this position periodically requires extra effort to satisfy our manufacturing customers.

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
