By joining our Madisonville Section Office as an Engineer in Training II in Muhlenberg County, you’ll have the opportunity to perform complex engineering work on projects with a larger scope of work to develop practical skills.
Summary of Responsibilities:

Oversee construction projects and analyze test results on materials for conformance with engineering standards and specifications.

Assist in field surveys on various projects.

Compile, prepare, review and maintain records and reports.
Ideal candidate will have experience in:

Additional position information: Should be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. Required to be able to work, sit, stoop, and bend. Required to be able to respond to emergencies. Required to be able to work extended hours and during inclement weather.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:Graduate of a college or university with an accredited bachelor's degree in engineering.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Must have two years of engineering experience as an Engineer-In-Training.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:A master's degree in engineering will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:NONE
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification. Certification as an Engineer-In-Training recognized by the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors.http://kyboels.ky.gov/Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.
Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this title will perform duties in an office and/or field setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
