Your work will complement the entire engineering effort while focusing on building‑level design, clean‑room environments, occupancy planning, and site‑to‑building layout.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architectural Design & Planning
-
Lead concept, schematic, design‑development, and construction‑document phases for all architectural aspects of semiconductor facilities, including:
-
Cleanroom layout, classification, pressure‑cascade design, and gowning areas.
-
Building occupancy analysis, space‑utilization studies, and functional zoning.
-
Site‑plan integration (driving lanes, parking, utility corridors, pedestrian pathways).
-
Interior fit‑out, finishes, furniture, and ergonomic considerations for control rooms, labs, and office areas.
-
Integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems into architectural models to ensure seamless coordination.
-
Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire‑protection regulations, cleanroom standards (ISO 14644, FED‑STD‑209E), and TI’s sustainability goals (LEED, etc.).

Provide timely RFI responses and conduct on‑site inspections to verify that construction aligns with approved design documents.
-
Manage performance of external architectural consultants, defining scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
3. Technical Guidance & Standards
-
Develop and maintain standardized architectural templates, design guides, and best‑practice libraries for future TI projects.
-
Advise global TI sites on architectural matters—cleanroom design, building circulation, ADA compliance, and workplace ergonomics.
-
Champion innovative architectural solutions that improve reliability, reduce construction cost, and enhance energy efficiency (e.g., modular cleanrooms, prefabricated building components).
4. Project & Financial Management
-
Own the architectural scope support budget and expenditures reviews, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
-
Prepare and manage architectural scope statements of work, project schedules, and deliverables.
-
Participate in cross‑functional design reviews to ensure alignment of architectural, structural, and systems engineering disciplines.
5. Professional Engagement
-
Represent TI in internal and external technology forums, sharing architectural innovations and lessons learned.
-
Contribute to TI’s Technical Ladder Organization and mentor junior architects or engineers.
