About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Lead, to drive its wires Straight Through Processing (STP) optimization initiatives for Payment Operations.
In this role, you will:
-
Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
-
Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
-
Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
-
Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
-
Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
-
Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
-
Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
-
Monitor overall, system, channel, client, and repair-reason performance
-
Maintain one controlled baseline and reconcile metric differences across reports
-
Maintain the mapped and unmapped repair inventory
-
Prioritize high-volume internal and external causes
-
Convert client-specific repair data into targeted outreach
-
Validate whether repair volumes fall and remain lower after intervention
-
Identify repeatable repair categories suitable for rules, validation, or reference-data remediation
-
Quantify repair impact by defect
-
Support prioritization, testing, production validation, and benefit confirmation
-
Detect regression after releases, migrations, client changes, and new ISO requirements
-
Confirm that delivered repair reductions remain sustained
-
Report repairs removed, STP uplift, recurring-volume reduction, and residual gap against target
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
-
5+ years in Payments, Wires Operations, Product, Process Improvement, or Operational Excellence
-
Strong understanding of Fedwire, CHIPS, SWIFT, ISO 20022, STP management, repairs, investigations, and payment processing workflows
-
Proven experience leading large-scale operational improvement programs
-
Experience partnering with Technology and Product teams
-
Expertise in process optimization, automation, and operational transformation
-
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability
