Job Description

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to support a cloud-native, real-time data platform. This individual will be responsible for validating highly scalable systems that process and deliver data through APIs, event-streaming technologies, and distributed cloud services. The ideal candidate has strong QA automation experience, API testing expertise, and experience testing applications deployed in Azure environments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated testing solutions for APIs, cloud services, and distributed systems Validate data ingestion pipelines, real-time event processing, and system integrations Execute functional, regression, integration, performance, and data validation testing Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Architecture teams to improve overall software quality Support production readiness, defect investigation, and continuous improvement efforts

Compensation: $50/hr to $55/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of QA Automation experience Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks Strong API testing experience (REST APIs) Experience testing cloud-based applications, preferably in Microsoft Azure Experience with event-streaming or messaging technologies such as Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or similar Experience building automated regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites Understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and data validation Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines Experience testing AI-enabled applications or AI/data ingestion workflows Experience with Azure services such as AKS, Functions, App Services, and Containers Experience testing high-volume, mission-critical platforms Familiarity with observability tools such as Application Insights, Datadog, Splunk, or Grafana Experience with OAuth, JWT, API security, and authentication testing
