Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise, current source material, and realistic examples relevant to the intended audience.

  • Create or review scenarios, case studies, exercises, datasets, prompts, expected answers, and explanations of common errors.

  • Identify the decisions learners must make and the checks they must perform when using AI in a work process.

  • Test AI activities, document tools and test conditions, and provide guidance for variable outputs, failures, and limited tool access.

  • Develop answer guidance, assessment criteria, and facilitator notes that explain the reasoning behind recommended approaches.

  • Apply responsible AI practices, including appropriate data use, source verification, human oversight, and clear treatment of uncertainty.

  • Review materials for accuracy, currency, consistency, and federal relevance; distinguish illustrative scenarios from agency-specific requirements.

  • Respond to review feedback, collaborate on revisions, and meet agreed project milestones and deliverable deadlines.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs and explain their accuracy, limitations, risks, and appropriate use.

  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills, including the ability to organize complex information for adult learners.

  • Ability to develop realistic work scenarios and activities that support measurable learning objectives.

  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including sensitive information, privacy, tool permissions and security, and human oversight.

  • Ability to collaborate with instructional designers and other reviewers, incorporate feedback, and meet agreed deadlines.

  • Ability to document sources, methods, and test conditions so that others can reproduce and maintain the content.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing or reviewing professional training, assessments, or performance-support materials.

  • Experience supporting federal organizations or developing examples grounded in federal work.

  • Specialized experience relevant to the assignment, such as AI-enabled analytics, project management, adoption, supervision, or agentic workflows.

  • Experience developing accessible hands-on labs, simulations, or self-directed learning activities.
