Logistics Specialist

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Order Management / Logistics Specialist to support customer order processing, shipment tracking, and cross-functional communication in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment. This role is responsible for managing customer orders from entry through invoicing, ensuring accurate SAP system updates, and providing excellent customer service throughout the order lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, review, and manage customer orders accurately and efficiently

• Enter and maintain customer orders in SAP and related ERP systems

• Monitor orders through fulfillment, shipment, and invoicing

• Communicate with customers daily regarding order status, shipment updates, and delivery details

• Provide timely follow-up on order changes, delays, inventory concerns, and customer requests

• Partner closely with Sales, Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery

• Manage customer expectations and resolve order-related issues in a professional and timely manner

• Coordinate with transportation providers and third-party logistics partners (3PLs) to support on-time delivery

• Track and communicate potential service disruptions and work proactively to resolve them

• Maintain accurate records and ensure high attention to detail across all order management activities

Requirements

Required Skills / Software Experience:

• SAP experience required

• ERP system experience required

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

• Strong order entry, order tracking, and customer communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in logistics, order management, customer service, transportation coordination, or supply chain

• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred

• Customer-facing experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments

Preferred Background:

• Experience supporting end-to-end order fulfillment processes

• Familiarity with shipping coordination, invoicing follow-up, and inventory-related issue resolution

• Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external logistics partners
