Join Our Surgical ICU at UPMC Shadyside!

  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 for experienced nurses with more than one year of RN experience

  • Weekend Differential: receive 25% on top of base pay

  • Experienced RNs: Full-Time, Weekend Program (24 hours per weekend, can choose between two 12-hour shifts or three 8-hour shifts between the hours of Friday at 3pm and Monday at 7am)

  • Unit: Surgical ICU

Surgical ICU:

  • Award-Winning Excellence: Two-time AACN Beacon Award winner, recognized for outstanding critical care.

  • Patient-Centered Care: Focus on surgical oncology patients. Also care for critically ill medical patients. Expertise in vascular, urological, and general surgical cases.

  • Cutting-Edge Facilities: Continuous cardiac monitoring. Ventilators, BIPAP, CRRT, wound vacs, and drains.

  • Nursing Responsibilities: Administer and titrate infusions (anti-arrhythmics, insulin, vasopressors, sedatives, paralytics).
