Summary

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM) provides the infrastructure and support that enables the U.S. Department of Labor to perform its mission. OASAM provides leadership and support for information technology, human resources management, procurement, business operations, safety and health, space management, civil rights, emergency management, security, budget, and performance.

Duties

This position is in the Office of Human Resources (OHR) Front Office and its primary purpose is a wide-range of administrative, reporting, and program support functions essential to the effective operation of the organization and the delivery of timely, accurate information to senior leadership. Major duties include but are not limited to the following: Coordinates, reviews, and prioritizes clearance actions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely routing through the Clearance Tracking System. Coordinates responses to OASAM and Front Office requests, ensuring accurate information, timely turnaround, and consistent communication across the office. Oversees management of OHR and CHCO mailboxes, establishing triage and tracking procedures and preparing or reviewing responses to complex or sensitive inquiries. Manages the office's financial disclosure program, overseeing filing processes, tracking requirements, and ensuring compliance with ethics regulations and coordination with the agency ethics office. Oversees recurring and ad hoc reporting and data call activities, ensuring timely inputs, compliant products, and alignment with departmental policies, deadlines, and leadership needs. Qualifications

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-13, in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. To qualify for this GS-301-14, applicants must meet all of the following examples of specialized experience: Communicate effectively (written and oral) with staff and senior leadership to ensure shared understanding, informed decision-making, and consistent alignment with organizational goals. Gather and synthesize input from multiple internal sources to produce consolidated, leadership-ready responses and products that support timely and accurate office deliverables. Manage controlled correspondence across assigned program and leadership channels to ensure accurate tracking, clear responses, and timely fulfillment of all required actions.
