Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance & Corporate Development

Finance

San Francisco HQ · Full-time · On-site · $145 – $185K · Offers Equity

The Role

Triumph builds skill gaming and digital collectibles experiences — Arcade and Rips — that reach millions of users and run on financial rails handling billions in volume. The business has scaled quickly, and our finance and strategy team is scaling with it.

We're building out that team with two new leaders: a Director of Strategic Finance and a Director of Corporate Development, Capital Markets & Investor Relations. This analyst will be the first hire supporting both. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Finance, you'll build the models behind our plan, help evaluate acquisitions and partnerships, and prepare the materials we share with investors and the board.

This role suits an analytically sharp, hands-on builder who wants broad exposure early in their career, moves fast, understands how to best leverage AI and would rather build the model than wait for one. As the team grows, you'll have room to go deeper in the area that fits you best.

What You'll Do

  • Support planning and forecasting. Help run Triumph's annual operating plan, budget and rolling forecast. Build and maintain the three-statement model and scenarios, and keep the cash forecast current, including the split between operating cash, player balances and processor reserves.

  • Track unit economics. Maintain reporting on LTV/CAC, cohort retention, payer conversion, ARPU and take rate across Arcade and Rips, and partner with our data team to keep the metrics reliable and current.

  • Deliver monthly reporting. Prepare budget-vs-actual reporting with clear variance explanations, and track headcount against plan with Talent and team leads.

  • Support corporate development. Build valuation and deal models (DCF, comparables, accretion/dilution), research markets and potential targets and partners, and support diligence on acquisitions, investments and strategic partnerships.

  • Support capital markets and investor relations. Build financing and capital structure analyses, maintain the cap table and public and private comps, help manage data rooms, and prepare board and investor materials that keep our story and KPIs consistent from one update to the next.

  • Turn analysis into recommendations. Deliver ad hoc analysis for the CFO and leadership on pricing, marketing spend, new products and resource allocation, and present the findings clearly.

  • Automate and improve. Replace manual spreadsheet workflows with repeatable processes, using planning tools, SQL or BI tools and AI to make reporting faster and more accurate.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, strategic finance or FP&A, private equity, venture capital, equity research or management consulting.

  • Strong financial modeling: three-statement models, forecasting, valuation (DCF, comparables) and scenario analysis.

  • Solid accounting fundamentals (GAAP, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).

  • Strong skills in software and data — advanced in Excel or Google Sheets, comfortable in SQL or BI tools (or able to learn quickly), and always looking for ways to automate repetitive work.

  • Hands-on experience using AI in financial work — for example, to build and maintain models, automate reporting or speed up research.

  • Clear written and visual communication — you can turn complex analysis into crisp slides and memos for executives, the board and investors.

  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities across several stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, engineering or another quantitative field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in consumer apps, gaming, e-commerce, marketplaces or fintech, and their key metrics.

  • Exposure to M&A transactions, equity or debt financings, or investor relations, ideally at a high-growth company.

  • Experience with a planning tool (e.g. Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive, Mosaic) or BI tool, ideally connected to a cloud data warehouse such as BigQuery.

  • Progress toward the CFA or CPA.

Why Triumph?

  • High growth. Help scale a consumer platform that touches gaming, finance and collectibles, with both apps #1 in their App Store categories.

  • High agency. Join a finance and strategy team as it is being built, with exposure across strategic finance, M&A and capital markets and direct visibility to the CFO and leadership.

  • High energy. Join a passionate team of ex-quant traders, ex-founders, artists and champions who are proud of their work and velocity.

  • Competitive salary and benefits. Equity, $400/mo lunch credit, healthcare, vision, dental, 401k and more.

Our team gathers 5 days a week at Triumph's headquarters at Levi's Plaza in San Francisco.
