  • Design and deploy standardized, end-to-end planning processes, decision rights, roles, governance, and escalation paths across business units and functions.

  • Own business requirements and design authority for planning solutions, ensuring technology supports the future operating model rather than replicating existing workarounds.

  • Establish performance baselines, outcome measures, and benefits tracking tied to service, inventory, cost, productivity, and revenue objectives.

  • Establish and lead the Planning COE, including its organization, service model, governance, global standards, key performance indicators, analytics, training, certification, maturity assessments, and continuous improvement.

  • Own the Supply Chain Item Master Data domain, including policies, stewardship, workflows, controls, data quality, timeliness, issue resolution, and consistency across source and consuming systems.

  • Partner with IT, Data, and AI leaders to create a trusted planning data foundation, common definitions, and scalable analytics and AI-enabled decision support.

  • Lead stakeholder alignment, communications, training, and change adoption to prepare leaders and planners to operate effectively in the new model.

  • Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, Customer Service, Manufacturing, External Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, and Trade Compliance stakeholders to align planning capabilities with business needs.

  • Direct internal teams and external technology and transformation partners, ensuring deliverable quality, effective knowledge transfer, and sustainable internal capabilities.

  • Attract, develop, and lead a global team spanning the Planning COE, transformation, and Item Master Data, with analytics and planning performance resources as defined in the final organization design; define future planning skill requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Data, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.

  • At least 12 years of progressive supply chain experience, including senior leadership responsibility in a large, complex, global, multi-business organization.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, life sciences, or other regulated industry is preferred.

  • Proven experience leading a multi-year planning transformation from vision and business case through design, deployment, adoption, and benefits realization.

  • Deep expertise in demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, S&OE, and IBP; manufacturing planning or scheduling experience preferred.

  • Experience establishing or leading a Planning COE, including global process ownership, governance, performance management, and capability development.

  • Experience owning or governing item or material master data, including stewardship, data quality, controls, and cross-system alignment.

  • Strong understanding of advanced planning systems, master data management, analytics, and AI-enabled decision support, with experience defining business requirements and partnering with IT on related implementations, including cloud-based solutions.

  • Demonstrated expertise in transformation leadership, program governance, and organizational change, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and across functions.
