Project Engineer

Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Finleyville, PA

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00

Work Model: Onsite

Hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday

Overview

System One is seeking a Project Engineer with commercial mechanical construction and plumbing experience.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers with reviewing proposals, project plans, resource allocations, and timeline requirements

• Attend pre-construction, turnover, and closeout meetings to assist in project setup

• Build job cost breakdowns, schedules of values, and prepare purchase orders, submittals, and material or equipment requisitions

• Track change order requests, monitor scope revisions, and assist in securing necessary permits and licenses

• Monitor labor usage, equipment, tool inventory, and review monthly work-in-progress (WIP) documentation

• Conduct field site inspections to verify adherence to safety protocols and quality standards

• Coordinate with field superintendents and fabrication teams to ensure smooth project execution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering

• 0–2 years of experience in commercial mechanical construction or plumbing

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical specifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
