Full job description

The application window is expected to close on: 11/29/2026Meet The Team Cisco Networking is changing how customers build, secure, and operate increasingly complex, distributed networks. Our product marketing team connects Cisco’s technology to the priorities of the people who run those networks and the partners who help them succeed. We work across product, engineering, sales, customer experience, communications, and field teams to make complex technology clear and useful in the market. We build positioning and launch plans, partner-ready stories, and practical content that shows how Cisco’s capabilities improve customer outcomes and how teams can put them to work. Your Impact As Senior Director of Product Marketing for Networking Platforms, Assurance & Ecosystem, reporting to the VP of Networking Product Marketing , you will lead global market strategy, positioning, and messaging for a multi-billion-dollar portfolio at the core of Cisco’s networking business. Your organization will own product marketing across the networking platform, assurance, and ecosystem—including Cisco Cloud Control and its AgenticOps capabilities, network management experiences such as Cisco (Meraki) Dashboard and Catalyst Center, ThousandEyes, marketplace and API capabilities, MCP interfaces, technology partners, and the Cisco DevNet community. You will shape how these capabilities come together in real practitioner workflows, with customer evidence that demonstrates their value. You will also lead vertical messaging that brings the portfolio story to life for customers in different industries. You will partner with Networking product SVPs, GMs, engineering, and global go-to-market leaders to understand product direction and business priorities, then set how Product Marketing positions and brings the portfolio to market. You will align the story to Cisco Networking’s priorities: Cisco Cloud Control as the operating surface for Networking, world-class campus networking led by wireless, and security fused into the network. You will bring technical depth and an understanding of practitioner workflows to customer evidence, partner programs, and practical guidance that show how teams can put the capabilities to work and improve outcomes. Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience leading product marketing for a global enterprise technology portfolio, ideally in networking, cloud infrastructure, observability, or software platforms, including portfolio positioning and go-to-market strategy.
  • Experience leading multi-tier, globally distributed teams, including people managers, and aligning teams around shared priorities and execution.
  • Technical fluency in enterprise networking and software platforms, with the ability to engage with practitioners and make complex architectures and capabilities clear to customers. Experience in one or more areas such as campus and wireless, cloud-managed networking, assurance and observability, or APIs.
  • A record of setting portfolio strategy and leading global launches with product and engineering leaders, sales, field teams, and channel partners, connecting marketing to customer outcomes and adoption.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 17+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree and 14+ years of related experience, or PhD and 10+ years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across enterprise networking domains such as campus and wireless, branch, data center, cloud, assurance, or observability.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven network operations, AgenticOps, or agentic workflows, including the importance of trusted and governed actions.
  • Experience taking platform and ecosystem capabilities to market through APIs, MCP interfaces, marketplaces, developer communities, or technology partners.
  • A track record of channel- or partner-led go-to-market, including enabling partners to build services and demonstrate customer outcomes.
  • Experience shaping vertical messaging for different industries and communicating with executive customers, analysts, or industry audiences.
