Experienced leaders only

This role is for someone who already manages field teams. You must have at least 3 years of experience leading field supervisors or crews in a route-based or field service business, including hiring, scheduling, coaching, performance reviews, and corrective action. While we keep the application process quick and smooth for applicants, we ask that you ensure we get a clear picture of your skills in this area from your resume and application responses. (Quick note - we never use AI to review applications or dismiss candidates... but if you use AI to write your responses, you will find it hard to stand out from the hundreds of others who are doing so. We hope you will use your own words to tell us about yourself!)

The role

You will own all operations for the Charlotte market: service quality, crew productivity, customer retention, and financial results. Your direct reports are the market’s Technicians. We are looking for someone who can get the work done while ensuring our well-trained and hardworking technicians are safe, celebrated, and growing.

What you will do

  • Staff, train, equip, and schedule crews to match demand

  • Hold bi-weekly one-on-ones and complete timely performance reviews

  • Review quality inspections and resolve escalated customer concerns

  • Track market metrics and act on problems before customers feel them

  • Be the main point of contact for customer service escalations

  • Collaborate with Logistics on vehicles and equipment and with our Safety Manager for training and team safety

  • Approve timecards and expenses

  • Enforce safety standards and company policies

Requirements

  • 3+ years leading field supervisors or crews in field service, route service, or a similar business

  • Proven record of results in quality, productivity, and retention

  • Excellent customer service skills: Clear, professional written and verbal communication, including deescalation skills

  • Comfort with business software and tracking performance data

  • Valid driver’s license with 3+ years of driving experience and a good driving record

  • In-person work schedule, Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours or weekend work

Preferred

  • Budgeting and operational KPI experience

  • Knowledge of OSHA and workers’ compensation

  • Turf or pest control licensing

  • DOT medical card or DOT driver status

Compensation and benefits

  • $75K salary, paid weekly

  • Take-home company vehicle with allowable personal use

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Subsidized health insurance

  • Supplemental insurance (dental, vision, disability, and more)

  • Paid time off and paid holidays
