Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT/CLASSIFICATION) in the IMMEDIATE OFC OF CHIEF OF NVL OPS. Responsibilities You will provide human resources management advisory services to managers, supervisors, and employees of assigned organizations. You will provide expert advice and guidance to line managers in support of the classification and position management. You will provide expert advice and assistance to other personnel specialists relative to the interpretation of statutes, regulations, etc., associated with the staffing function. You will evaluate reorganization proposals and advise managers on organizational issues as well as classification and staffing considerations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Demonstrating experience with human resources management programs; 2) Carrying out HR functions related to staffing, compensation, and classification; 3) Interpreting and applying laws and regulations related to the staffing function; 4) Interpreting and applying classification standards/guides to reach sound classification decisions; 5) Providing guidance on approaches to pay and compensation; 6) Providing strategic HR advice and guidance to senior management in order to execute HR plans.
