Job Title: Supplier Quality EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, along with creating manufacturing routers. The successful candidate will develop and implement new manufacturing processes to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve quality. Training and mentoring operators and technicians on production procedures is also a key aspect of this position.
Responsibilities

Ensure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and calibrated.

Perform and document root cause analysis of process issues.

Develop and monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Assist with research and development of new products.

Support lean initiatives and implementation of new technologies.
-
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
-
Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods.
-
Participate in product design reviews to provide feedback on manufacturability and fabrication/vendor best practices.
-
Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
-
Develop and implement cost-saving measures and quality control systems.

Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.
Essential Skills
-
Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer.

Experience with supplier audits and evaluation.
-
Proficiency in incoming material inspection, defect tracking and resolution, and corrective actions.

Expertise in process improvement.
-
Ability to collaborate with program managers, manufacturing leads, customers, and functional leads.

Advanced experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of supplier quality, PPAP, audit, CAPA, and manufacturing engineering.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burnsville, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
