Description We are looking for a customer-focused Leasing Consultant to support a busy residential property. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys guiding prospective residents through the leasing process while delivering a welcoming experience with strong attention to detail. The person in this role will manage leasing documentation, coordinate move-in and move-out activities, and help maintain organized resident records. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and prior experience in property management operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome prospective residents, introduce them to the community, and provide informative property tours tailored to their interests and housing needs.

  • Gather prospect details, assess qualification criteria, and maintain accurate guest and lead information throughout the leasing cycle.

  • Follow up with prospective residents in a timely manner to encourage conversions and support leasing goals in line with established procedures.

  • Collect rental applications and supporting income documentation, then review and process submissions according to company guidelines.

  • Prepare lease agreements, addenda, and move-in materials while coordinating scheduling for upcoming resident arrivals.

  • Meet with new residents to review lease documentation, complete move-in steps, and ensure all required forms are signed and filed properly.

  • Handle notices to vacate, assemble move-out paperwork, and coordinate both preliminary and final inspection appointments.

  • Manage key collection at move-out and maintain organized records related to resident transitions and leasing activity. Requirements • 2+ years of experience in leasing, property administration, or residential property management.

  • Hands-on knowledge of property management practices and resident-facing leasing processes.

  • Experience using Yardi Software for leasing, resident records, or property operations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with prospective and current residents.

  • Ability to manage multiple leasing tasks with accuracy, strong organization, and close attention to deadlines.

  • Familiarity with reviewing applications, collecting verification documents, and preparing lease-related paperwork.

  • Proficiency in residential property management; exposure to commercial property management is a plus. TalentMatch®
