We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support day-to-day studio shipping, receiving, package tracking, and logistics operations at Netflix Studios Fort Monmouth, our new East Coast flagship hub. This role provides essential operational support to film, TV, and commercial productions, ensuring seamless package delivery, freight coordination, and vendor workflows across the studio lot.
The Role
A successful candidate will be energetic, highly organized, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to operational excellence and customer service. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking across daily logistics tasks, working closely with internal production teams, and maintaining precise tracking and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipping & Receiving Operations: Process incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and express packages (USPS, UPS, DHL, FedEx) using internal package tracking systems and carrier platforms.
- Freight & Deliveries: Prepare domestic and international shipments, verify customs/shipping documentation, and coordinate local messenger and courier deliveries to support active production schedules.
- Package Logging & Tracking: Receive, sort, log, store, and distribute packages accurately, acquiring signatures and maintaining accurate audit trails for all deliveries.
- Production Logistics Support: Align daily shipping and receiving workflows with studio production timetables, production offices, and department heads.
- Vendor & Carrier Coordination: Serve as a primary point of contact for daily courier pickups, freight carriers, and shipping vendors, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines and service standards.
- Billing & Administrative Support: Assist with logging operational invoices, cross-referencing freight documentation for billing reconciliation, and performing clerical tasks (ordering mailroom supplies, placing equipment service calls, record keeping).
- Equipment & Warehouse Safety: Safely operate mailroom equipment and forklifts, adhering strictly to industry safety protocols and maintaining a clean, secure, and organized shipping workspace.
- Reporting & Tracking: Support the logging of daily package counts and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as intake volume and processing turnarounds.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in shipping, receiving, mailroom, or logistics operations, ideally within a studio, production, or fast-paced corporate environment.
- Proficiency with major shipping systems (USPS, UPS, DHL, FedEx) and digital package tracking applications.
- Practical experience operating forklifts with strong knowledge of warehouse and materials handling safety protocols.
- High proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize dynamic tasks.
- Physical capability to lift, move, and handle packages and freight as required for daily studio operations.
