Job Description
Strengthening and empowering all of the communities we serve.
Head of Product, CinqDI
MVDigital is hiring a Head of Product to own CinqDI, our data and audience intelligence platform. CinqDI brings together first-party contextual data, proprietary survey and polling research, and voter file data to build issue-based and psychographic audience personas, giving clients unmatched granularity in understanding audience motivation and the ability to activate campaigns directly from the platform. CinqDI already lets clients build audiences using natural language, and part of this role is pushing that further, exploring new ways people and systems consume and act on the platform's data as those approaches keep evolving. The platform is live and generating real client value today; this role is responsible for defining and delivering what it becomes next.
This is a technically fluent leadership role. Much of what CinqDI needs next, including new data integrations, new modeling capability, and new AI-driven workflows, doesn't have an established playbook yet. The person in this seat is expected to define that path, not just execute against someone else's roadmap. The role also carries direct leadership of the teams around the platform customer success/implementation and insights along with ownership of our development contract and our working partnership with Advance Local's technology and data teams.
Compensation for this position is comprised of a base salary plus incentive compensation. The base salary range is $180,000 to $203,000 per year. Additional incentives bring total potential compensation to $216,000 to $243,000.
What you'll be doing
-
Own the product strategy and roadmap for CinqDI, and drive decisions on what gets built next as the platform expands its data sources, modeling capability, and activation tools.
-
Manage the customer success/implementation team to keep the platform continually available meeting uptime commitments and SLAs and meeting the needs of current customers.
-
Guide the insights team to produce novel analysis and reports that enhance the product and the relevance of its off-the-shelf insights.
-
Manage the contract with our development team, including one or more project managers overseeing contract developers, and ensure the development plan leads to monetizable enhancements.
-
Serve as the primary conduit to Advance Local's technology and data teams, directing or co-managing AL resources and project managers as needed so CinqDI receives the support it needs and continues to deliver a superior product to its users.
-
Work directly with data science, account executives, and strategists to turn early-stage ideas and client needs into well-defined PRDs and specs reviewing or writing them for the development team to implement.
-
Partner closely with data and software engineering teams in a complex, fast-moving technical environment, staying technically fluent enough to make informed tradeoffs on architecture, data modeling, and delivery.
-
Translate audience and behavioral data concepts, including issue-based segmentation, psychographic modeling, and profile-based audiences, into product features that are usable, scalable, and differentiated in market.
-
Drive innovation and new thinking on the product, proactively identifying where new data sources, AI capabilities, or workflow automation could create a meaningfully better product rather than an incremental one.
-
Lead product planning ceremonies, including sprint planning and backlog grooming, and prioritize the roadmap so the highest-value work ships first.
-
Evaluate and integrate AI-driven capabilities into the platform, including natural language access to data, automated audience modeling, and assisted workflows for internal and client-facing users.
-
Manage the product lifecycle end-to-end, from concept and requirements through delivery, adoption, and iteration, with real ownership over that process.
-
Maintain clear, current product documentation, including definitions, logic, and decisions, so the platform is transparent and extensible for the broader team.
Our ideal candidate will have the following
-
A track record of owning a SaaS product end-to-end, from requirements through delivery, with demonstrated authority over product decisions.
-
Experience managing people and vendors: leading functional teams such as customer success and insights, and managing outside development contracts and the project managers who run them.
-
A good grasp of SaaS and cloud technologies, devops, data systems, and AI workflows.
-
Experience working cross-functionally with data science, software/data engineering, account/client teams, and strategists to turn ambiguous ideas into shippable product.
-
Comfort operating in complex, technical data environments, able to work credibly alongside engineers on data pipelines, modeling, and system architecture.
-
A demonstrated ability to drive innovation: identifying new product opportunities and pushing the roadmap forward rather than only maintaining what exists.
-
Experience leading prioritization and planning for a product or team, including sprint planning and backlog grooming.
-
Strong requirements-gathering skills, with the ability to translate stakeholder and client input into clear, well-scoped product specifications.
-
Excellent communication skills, able to lead cross-functional stakeholders and make a clear case for what to build and why.
-
The ability to operate independently and lead in an environment where some of the systems and processes you need don't fully exist yet.
Helpful but not required
-
Experience with audience, identity, or persona-based data products, particularly political, media, or advertising data platforms.
-
Familiarity with survey/polling data, voter file data, or psychographic and issue-based audience modeling.
-
Hands-on experience integrating AI-assisted tooling, natural language interfaces, or connector/API-based integrations into a product.
-
A background as a technical individual contributor (engineering, data science, or similar) combined with client- or account-facing experience.
