Full job description

About nOps

nOps is the leading FinOps platform for AWS, Azure, and GCP, helping engineering and finance teams gain real-time cloud cost visibility and achieve autonomous optimization. Our mission is to make cloud cost management effortless, enabling teams to scale innovation without waste. We partner closely with the major hyperscalers and our customers to continuously improve how organizations optimize, manage, and invest in their cloud environments.

The Role

We are looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join our growing team. This person is a motivated hunter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume sales motion, landing new customers in the commercial segment and owning the full sales cycle from pipeline generation to deal close. Our buyers are technical and informed on cloud economics, so we want someone who can learn and speak confidently about cloud spend, commitments, and optimization, while working closely with marketing, solutions engineering, and partnerships to deliver measurable business outcomes for our customers.

What You'll Do

  • Own your territory strategy. From a list of target accounts, qualify and prioritize against our ideal customer profile so your time goes to companies with meaningful cloud spend, and build a plan to reach key decision makers, including through introductions from AWS, Azure, and GCP reps.

  • Drive new customer acquisition through a mix of inbound follow-up, outbound prospecting, and co-sell with AWS and other hyperscaler reps, including deals transacted through AWS Marketplace, plus channel collaboration with MSPs and consulting partners.

  • Manage a high-volume pipeline in HubSpot, moving deals efficiently through discovery, demo, evaluation, and close, with accurate forecasts of monthly and quarterly performance.

  • Lead consultative conversations with FinOps, engineering, and finance leaders, translating cloud cost concepts (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, commitment management, workload optimization) into clear business value across cost visibility and allocation, commitment management, and AI cost attribution.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure a seamless prospect and customer experience.

  • Participate in key customer events, driving attendance with the right personas and ensuring consistent follow-up after each event.

  • Champion the voice of the customer, helping influence product development and go-to-market strategy.

What You'll Bring

  • 3 to 7 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally in a commercial or mid-market segment, with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota.

  • Experience selling cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, or FinOps software is strongly preferred. If you are new to FinOps, you are curious and quick to learn how enterprises consume and optimize cloud spend.

  • Hunter mentality with a record of building your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, not relying on inbound alone.

  • Working knowledge of the cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or the ability to build it quickly.

  • Strong consultative and solution-selling skills, with success in a fast-growth or early-stage environment.

  • AI fluency. You already use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor to research accounts, prepare outreach, and keep your CRM current, and you can describe a concrete example.

  • Ability to communicate technical and financial value clearly to engineers, finance teams, and executives.

  • Comfortable working remote-first and asynchronously across time zones.

Why nOps

  • Join a fast-growing company at the center of innovation in the FinOps space.

  • Partner with some of the fastest-scaling cloud customers globally.

  • Competitive compensation and opportunity to grow professionally.

  • Remote-friendly team with a strong culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
