Licensed Journeyman Electrician Requirements

• Current Journeyman Electrician license in a state eligible for reciprocity.

• Ability to obtain or transfer the appropriate electrical license through reciprocity.

• Demonstrated experience performing commercial, industrial, or construction electrical work.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and specifications.

• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable electrical safety standards.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for work.

• Ability to work extended hours, including 60–70 hours per week , as project schedules require.

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment.

• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and project specifications.

• Install conduit, wire, cable, panels, electrical devices, and other electrical components.

• Perform electrical installations in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements.

• Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify necessary repairs.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

• Follow all company and job-site safety policies and procedures.

• Work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, electricians, and other trades on the job site.
