Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build the software systems that power our robotic platform. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, building, testing, and deploying production software. You will work closely with robotics, controls, hardware, and machine learning engineers to develop systems that are reliable, maintainable, and scalable. This is not a role focused on maintaining legacy systems or implementing isolated features. We are looking for engineers who can take ownership of complex problems, make sound engineering decisions, and drive projects from concept through deployment. What You’ll Do

• Design and develop production software in C++ and Python.

• Architect and implement reliable software systems that support robotic applications.

• Build maintainable, modular, and extensible codebases.

• Develop testing and validation strategies to ensure software quality and reliability.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

• Debug and resolve complex issues across software, robotics, and hardware systems.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new product capabilities.

• Take ownership of projects from initial design through deployment and long-term support.

What We’re Looking For Software Engineering

• 5 to 7 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong experience developing production software in C++ and/or Python.

• Ability to write maintainable, modular, and production-quality code.

• Experience designing software that can be extended and maintained by a team.

• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design principles.

• Experience writing tests and validating software behavior. For this role, testing and software quality are a must, not a nice-to-have.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with embedded or hardware-adjacent software.

• Experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, medical devices, aerospace, or other highly technical engineering environments.
