ORC Trainee 1

ORC Trainee 1 (including Manual Communications and Spanish Language) A bachelors degree. Either 1. a bachelors degree AND one year of case management and/or service coordination experience in a correctional, criminal justice, or community human services program, providing direct assistance to individuals in resolving significant social, behavioral, and personal problems. This experience must have included at least one of the following: assessing client needs and developing and/or implementing service plans; providing case management and supportive services; making referrals to appropriate service providers; and/or coordinating and/or facilitating services to address identified needs. Or 2. a masters degree. Examples of qualifying experience include but are not limited to: providing interventions such as behavior management (including in residential or institutional settings), crisis intervention, conflict resolution, job coaching, and vocational or independent living skills training. Qualifying experience may have been gained working with individuals facing issues such as substance use, mental health concerns, trauma, domestic violence, homelessness, incarceration, unemployment, family or parenting challenges, physical or mental illness, and social or economic instability.
