Production Supervisor

Miliary Veterans strongly encouraged to apply - $65,000/annual Production Supervisor The production supervisor will serve as the working leader of a manufacturing department. S/he will perform production tasks, provide work direction to team members in the department, and ensure that the department produces on schedule and in conformance with safety and quality standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PRODUCTION: Perform production tasks and learn all jobs performed within the assigned department. Manage departmental production team members and activities to ensure that production objectives are consistently achieved. Measure and report on the quantity, quality, and timeliness of departmental output. Communicate with management and troubleshoot any production challenges experienced within the department. LEADERSHIP: Provide work direction to all assigned team members. Conduct team meetings, including training sessions, daily production meetings, problem solving meetings, quality meetings, safety meetings. Ensure that the department is processing work as scheduled. Manage team member performance, including setting and communicating expectations, recognizing superior performance and correcting deficient performance. Train team members in the assigned department to efficiently and safely perform their job functions. Ensure that preventive maintenance is performed as scheduled and notify maintenance of any equipment problems. Maintain departmental compliance with safety policies and procedures. Coach and motivate team members. Accurately maintain production records and documentation. Create clear, complete, and professional documentation. SAFETY: As the safety leader for the assigned department, the production supervisor will - Inspect area for safety hazards and compliance with safety standards.
