  • Define the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for engineering configurators and CAD-based design tools

  • Develop future-state architectures that support engineering productivity, scalability, and business growth.

  • Establish architectural principles, standards, and governance frameworks that guide technology decisions and investments.

  • Ensure engineering technologies align with business objectives, product strategies, and operational priorities

Digital Engineering Architecture

  • Develop architecture strategies for product configurators, CAD/CAE tools, design automation, rules logic, engineering data, and connected internal systems.

  • Lead the evolution of engineering processes, systems, and workflows through modern digital engineering practices.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify engineering experiences, improve design quality, and accelerate product development cycles.

  • Shape strategies supporting modular product architectures, digital thread initiatives, and engineering automation.

  • Drive modernization efforts that improve interoperability, data consistency, and long-term maintainability.

Innovation & Emerging Technologies

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, including AI-enabled engineering, intelligent configurators, design automation, digital twins, and cloud-based engineering platforms.

  • Develop recommendations and business cases for technology investments that create measurable business value.

  • Help position the organization to take advantage of next-generation engineering capabilities while balancing practicality, scalability, and risk.

Technical Leadership & Influence

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader across Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, and IT.

  • Provide architectural guidance for strategic initiatives and major technology decisions.

  • Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs in a clear and actionable manner for business and technical stakeholders.

  • Build alignment across teams and influence decisions without direct authority.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish engineering technology standards, architectural review processes, and governance practices.

  • Assess technology risks, technical debt, and modernization opportunities.

  • Drive consistency across engineering platforms, data models, integration approaches, and design methodologies.

  • Measure technology investments against strategic objectives and business outcomes.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

  • 8+ years of experience with the following:

  • Engineering systems, solution architecture, digital engineering, engineering technology strategy, or transformation initiatives.

  • Developing technology roadmaps, reference architectures, and governance frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of engineering design processes, product structures, engineering data management, configuration management, and design automation.

  • Engineering technologies such as CAD/CAE platforms, PLM systems, product configurators, engineering data solutions, or related ecosystems.

  • Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.

  • Translating business objectives into scalable technology strategies and architectural recommendations.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Siemens engineering technologies such as Teamcenter, NX, Capital, eBase, or related platforms.

  • Understanding of digital thread, product lifecycle management, engineering automation, and configuration-driven design.

  • Experience evaluating or implementing AI-enabled engineering capabilities and advanced automation solutions.

  • Experience supporting complex industrial, power distribution, utility, manufacturing, or electromechanical products.

  • Technology consulting, enterprise architecture, or engineering transformation experience.

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
