We Are:

Accenture Life Sciences – Commercial Consulting

We redefine commercial models and drive patient-centric innovation across the value chain—from pre-diagnosis to treatment—to deliver measurable outcomes for patients and business alike.

With a heritage of over 10,000 life sciences professionals operating globally, we power next-generation pharmaceutical and biotech growth. Our strength lies in modernizing commercial models to adapt to an era of “new science”—where AI, digital engagement, and data-driven personalization transform how therapies reach patients.

We have amplified our impact by combining deep life sciences expertise with market-leading digital, AI, and operating model capabilities. Through our core functional domains, we deliver integrated solutions that improve patient outcomes, enhance customer engagement, and drive commercial growth:

  • Access & Patient Services – Design and optimize hub operations, patient and HCP portals, and digital health solutions to improve access, affordability, adherence, and patient experience. Leverage AI and GenAI to streamline processes, personalize engagement, and enhance service delivery.

  • Sales & CRM – Transform sales and CRM strategy to enable more relevant, data-driven customer engagement. Support vendor selection, implementation, and optimization of platforms like Salesforce and Veeva, aligning technology and business processes to maximize impact.

  • Marketing & Customer Engagement – Reinvent marketing to drive growth through omnichannel engagement, modernized content supply chains, and hyper-personalized experiences. Empower marketing organizations with GenAI, analytics, and agile ways of working to increase speed, relevance, and ROI.

  • Data & AI – Harness advanced analytics, GenAI, and predictive modeling to generate actionable insights, improve targeting, optimize content, and enable faster, smarter decision-making. Scale data and AI use cases to deliver measurable efficiency and performance gains.

  • Talent & Operating Model – Design intelligent, adaptable commercial organizations, processes, and ways of working. Reimagine operating models, strategic functions, and workforce capabilities to increase agility, improve customer experience, and build AI-native organizations prepared for the future.

Through this integrated approach, we help clients become adaptive, intelligent organizations—accelerating commercial success and improving patient outcomes in a transformed life sciences landscape.

Ultimately, our goal is to create 360° value for our clients and their customers.

You Are:

  • A senior leader with deep industry expertise and the ability to lead large, complex engagements. You bring executive presence, strategic vision, and a proven track record of delivering innovative, measurable outcomes for clients in the life sciences sector.

  • A commercial transformation leader. You understand how commercial strategy, sales, marketing, pricing, contracting, customer success, field service, and commercial operations work together to drive growth. You can connect strategic vision with the operational changes required to deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • A builder. You thrive in white space. You're energized by creating something — a new client relationship, a new capability, a new team — rather than maintaining what already exists.

  • A leader worth following. Your teams deliver quality work on time because they want to, not because they have to. You invest in developing people and leave every engagement with talent that's grown.

The Work:

  • Assist our Life Sciences clients with selecting, implementing and capturing value from new commercial platform ecosystems.

  • Lead large-scale programs or complex ($5MM +) multi-workstream engagements, ensuring high-quality, innovative deliverables tailored to executive audiences.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to C-suite and SVP-level client stakeholders, influencing decision-making with authority.

  • Shape solutions that integrate cross-business units to bring deep-cross functional solutions, insights, and teams to our clients

  • Own project financials, including budget management, forecasting, and profitability targets.

  • Drive origination and sales for new opportunities, from ideation through contracting, leveraging Accenture’s thought leadership.

  • Guide professional development of all team members; foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.

  • Proactively integrate market trends, innovations, and regulatory shifts into client strategies and Accenture offerings.

  • Represent the practice in external forums, conferences, and thought leadership publications.

  • Lead cross-functional solutioning sessions to shape multi-domain, multi-region programs that address client business, operational, and technology needs.

  • Serve as an industry thought leader, influencing client agendas by sharing perspectives on emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and innovation opportunities.

  • Oversee delivery transformation, ensuring programs are structured for scalability, agility, and measurable impact on both patient and commercial outcomes.

  • Design and implement future-ready operating models, optimized business processes, and organizational structures that enhance commercial agility, scalability, and cross-functional alignment.

  • Travel - candidate should be willing to travel up to 75% to client locations.

Here’s What You Need:

  • 12+ years of life sciences commercial or patient services including sales, marketing, commercial operations, commercial excellence, market access, customer engagement, or business unit leadership.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial and marketing continuums from strategy to execution.

  • Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience, with a strong track record of delivery, business development, and client origination.

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated ability to build senior client relationships independently and convert them into revenue — a proven hunter, not just a relationship manager.

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience applying or selling AI, data, or digital solutions within a commercial or marketing context.

  • Bachelor's Degree

Bonus points if you have:

  • Deep expertise in one or more of the four core domains and working knowledge of all four areas.

  • Expertise in Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud or Veeva CRM.

  • Proven ability to shape and sell complex, multi-million-dollar consulting engagements.

  • Exceptional executive communication skills, with experience delivering high-stakes presentations.

  • Ability to guide teams through ambiguous, unstructured challenges to deliver innovative solutions.

  • Proven ability to develop and articulate differentiated points of view that influence senior client stakeholders and shape account strategy.

  • Strong track record of leading cross-functional, global teams to deliver transformative programs that combine business, technology, and change management.

  • A track record of building and managing a pipeline with discipline: staged opportunities, conversion metrics, and a clear point of view on where to invest your time.

  • Experience helping clients build AI-enabled commercial and marketing organizations — not just recommending AI, but designing and implementing it.

  • Recognized industry thought leadership (e.g., publications, conference presentations).

  • Experience leading global or multi-region programs.

  • Advanced credentials (MBA, MS, PharmD, etc.) or certifications in relevant technology platforms.
